Hi, I’m Lesley Qi, a graphic designer living in New York City.

I focus on visual communication and storytelling using typography, illustration, and motion graphics. As a graduate of SVA, I also found my love of experimenting with different mediums, from production designing music videos to cel animating alphabets. In 2014, I moved from Handan to South Carolina as a high school exchange student. Studying abroad in a western country amplified my awareness of my Chinese roots and greatly impacted how I approach my current work.

Hi, I’m Zhoutong Qi, a graphic designer living in New York City.

I focus on visual communication and storytelling using typography, illustration, and motion graphics. As a graduate of SVA, I also found my love of experimenting with different mediums, such as the production design in Joji - 777, the animation in NVSHU, and other personal projects. In 2010, I moved from Handan to South Carolina as a high school exchange student. Studying abroad in a western country amplified my awareness of my Chinese roots and greatly impacted how I approach my current work.

Additional work available on request, free feel to reach out.

NVSHU (wip)

Instructor - Andrew Herzog, Saad Moosajee
Short Film 2020

NVSHU is a disappearing language created by women for women in China. Women and sisters communicate with each other as the language travel and carry stories in this exclusive writing system. This secret script is an act of female independence.

This project is to explore and experiment with NVSHU and its caligraphy in motion.
